The OMEGA X system represents the new generation of connection systems between the spaced concrete layers in thermal break precast concrete panels.

It is an innovative system composed of brackets and forks.

The OMEGA X system is part of the B.S. Italia connection and reinforcement systems and is designed for the connection between the spaced concrete layers in thermal break precast concrete panels.

COMPONENTS OF THE OMEGA X SYSTEM

OMEGA X brackets for thermal break precast panels
Capable of excellent interaction with concrete, the OMEGA X brackets guarantee effective support of the outer layer in thermal break panels and an efficient seam between layers, offering flexibility, ductility, durability, safety, precision and ease of use.

Direct interlocking forks for reinforcement connection
The direct interlocking forks create an effective connection with the metal reinforcement of the hanging layer of thermal break precast concrete panels, keeping them stable and perfectly orthogonal to the layers of the panel even in the presence of accidental impacts.

APPLICATIONS OF THE OMEGA X SYSTEM

Use in thermal break precast panels
OMEGA X is designed for the production of thermal break precast concrete panels with hanging crust, guaranteeing the connection between the layers of the panel and contributing to the reduction of the thermal bridge. The system is used in industrialised prefabrication processes, where installation precision, continuity of connection and control of the panel’s thermal performance are required. Thanks to the combination of rigidity, flexibility and reduced transmittance, the system is also suitable for solutions designed in a seismic key.

OPERATION OF THE OMEGA X SYSTEM

Interaction between insulation, concrete and reinforcement
Both components of the system for thermal break panels are made of stainless steel and are designed to guarantee maximum cooperation with the concrete and with the metal reinforcement of the thermal break concrete panel. Moreover, they guarantee the constant thickness of the insulation and, through a simple and intuitive configuration, ensure maximum efficiency in all phases of the life of the thermal break precast concrete panel. The system is easy to use, tenacious, rigid and robust, so as to guarantee an efficient connection between the layers of the precast panel, but at the same time sufficiently flexible to allow the necessary movements of the external layer resulting from thermo-hygrometric variations and suitably tenacious to function in a seismic key.

OMEGA TERM programme for transmittance calculation
The OMEGA TERM programme supports designers in determining the thermal transmittance of panels in compliance with standard UNI EN 6946:2008. The OMEGA TERM programme allows the calculation of transmittance, position of OMEGA X and forks, panel geometries, weights and volumes, positioning of lifting systems and joists.
