Continuity connection system for the direct connection between precast columns and foundations

The vertical column-foundation connection with RS system is part of the B.S. Italia continuity connection systems and is designed for the direct connection of precast columns to foundation works.

The system was developed as a seismic-resistant device and makes it possible to obtain a continuous tie between column and foundation, creating a structural node that emulates the behaviour of cast-in-place structures.

Thanks to the use of the adjustment foot, the column can be installed without provisional support and bracing works. The solution also allows the elimination of the grouting well of the plinth, simplifying the design, construction and installation phases.

Direct connection between precast columns and foundations
The RS system is designed to create vertical continuity connections between precast columns and foundation works.

The solution makes it possible to eliminate the grouting well of the plinth and create a structural node with behaviour comparable to that of cast-in-place structures.

The RS connection makes it possible to obtain a continuous tie between the precast column and the foundation works, contributing to the structural continuity of the system.

Adjustment foot for installation without bracing
The adjustment foot allows the precast column to be installed without provisional support and bracing works.

The device allows adjustment of the column bearing level and verticality of the structure up to 5 cm, supporting precision and speed during the erection phases.

Reduction of excavation depths
Thanks to the elimination of the well housing the plinth, the bottom excavation depths can be significantly reduced.

Simplification of the reinforcement frames
The elimination of the well allows the reinforcement frames of the foundation works to be simplified.

Greater coupling tolerance
The system guarantees greater tolerance than the joint systems available on the market.

Adjustment of the column bearing level
The system foot allows adjustment of the column bearing level and verticality of the structure up to 5 cm.

Double adherence of the sleeve
The shape of the sleeve is designed to guarantee the internal and external adherence of the system.

Installation without bracing
The possibility of installing the column without bracing allows greater speed and savings during the erection phase.

Universality of use
The sleeve can be used with rebars of different diameters, from Ø 12 to Ø 32.
